Below I’ve listed links to series bibles and series pitches I’ve found on the internet. These examples might help you if you’re trying to create a pitch or bible for a series of novels.
Note that these documents are all hosted externally and are offered by sites for educational purposes only under ‘fair use’ provisions in the USA. In the UK we don’t have ‘fair use’ policies, so I am not able to host the documents on this site.
As far as I’m aware, all of these documents are genuine, and I’m offering the links here in good faith.

Series Pitches
Pitches are the documents writers and producers create to try and sell an idea for a new television show to a network or production company. There are far fewer of these around on the internet.
Carnivale. Detailed pitch with interesting presentation of material.
Doctor Who. Pitch for the original 1963 version of the show.
Farscape. Original pitch, originally titled ‘Space Chase.’
New Girl. Untitled and undated pitch document.
Star Trek. Pitch for the original series dated 1964.
Stranger Things. Pitch document for the show, originally titled ‘Montauk’ – be aware that this is a big document, so it may take a while to download and wait until you’re connected to Wi-Fi to get it. Another site with the same document. Pilot script here if you want to look at that.
Series Bibles
Battlestar Galactic. Bible for the reboot of the show. Another site with the same document.
The Crow: Stairway to Heaven. Bible for the show dated March 1998.
Dark Skies. Bible for the series dated February 1995.
The Dead Zone. I have to admit to not having watched this series, but I’ve included it here because series bibles for four separate seasons are available. Interesting to note that the season four bible lists earlier episodes of the show that are part of the ongoing story arc. Season 1. Season 2. Season 3. Season 4.
Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency. Series bible for the American version of the series based on the novels by Douglas Adams.
Fargo. Bible for season one of the show.
Grey’s Anatomy. Series bible from 2008.
Lost. ‘Series format’ document dated May 2004. Another site with the same document.
Quantum Leap. Bible for the series dated May 1990.
Scrubs. Undated bible consisting of outlines for the first six episodes. Pilot script available here.
Star Trek. Writer’s guide for the original series dated 1967.
Star Trek: Deep Space 9. Bible dated June 1992.
Star Trek: The Next Generation. Writer’s/director’s guide dated March 1987.
Star Trek: Voyager. Undated bible that also includes press release information produced for the launch of the show.
Stargate SG-1. Writer’s bible dated November 1998.
